| Infrastructure Specialist, Sharepoint, SQL Server, Cambridge (£43-48k) Infrastructure Specialist, Sharepoint, SQL Server, Cambridge (£43-48k). This powerhouse of a company based in Cambridge has a vacancy for an Infrastructure Specialist. You will be working in the Product Development, Project Engineering & Lifecycle department. Providing Infrastructure specialist expertise to Product Development (PD) and Lifecycle Solutions Group (LSG) in Enterprise Systems design and deployment, in the key areas of Database, Access Control, Security, Resilience, Scalability, Network & Performance. The principal accountabilities of the Infrastructure Specialist, (Sharepoint, SQL Server) will be: Consultancy to Product Development Influence the design of the product, by contributing expertise in large SQL*Server databases, Sharepoint implementations, large numbers of users, global networks (WAN, Internet, Intranet). This consultancy will be in the form of contributing to workshops, writing infrastructure specifications & best practise documents, designing test scenarios/environments, reviewing architecture & design specifications Consultancy to Lifecycle Solutions Group The Infrastructure Specialist, (Sharepoint, SQL Server) will Contribute to: - The pre-sales process - responses to Invitation To Tender, presentations and discussions with customers, recommendations on technology and training - The implementation process customer workshops, writing technical infrastructure plans - The post-sales process - troubleshooting problems in production environments, onsite or by remote access/diagnosis or advice Consultancy to the Testing Group Designing test scenarios & environments for simulation of enterprise deployments.
