One of the UK`s leading organizations is looking a highly motivated, confident and technically sound individual to take on the role of Installation and Support Engineer. The role would involve the management process implementing changes to the quality assurance and operational ICT infrastructure, as well as providing support for any customer issues. The Installation & Support Engineer will report to the Operations manage, whom they will liaise with daily with regards to any changes that are required. The main duties of the role are as follows:  Logging customer service issues and ensuring that these are promptly followed up.  Installation of new software & updates to existing software packages.  Supporting improvements in efficiency of software.  The flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, as and when required in order to meet requirements. Due to the nature of the job the successful candidate must posses the ability toe work under pressure, targets and tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high level of efficient and technical manner. Familiarity with Microsoft Windows packages and Linux server environments is essential. However, knowledge of SQL and networking, routing and internet infrastructures is not a prerequisite but highly desirable. The Installation & Support Engineer can look forward to a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a role with excellent future prospects.
