| UNIX Customer Care Engineer St. Albans (Near London) Unrivalled opportunity to work within a well renown company based in St Albans,UK. Looking for a talented individual to come on board in a UNIX Customer Care Engineer role, whom has the ability to work both individually and in a team environment. The candidate should be hardworking an able to deal with a variety of tasks from customer support calls, planning & implementing software installations * upgrades, supporting hosted operations as well as in house systems and infrastructure. Extensive experience in support services environment, with a focus on applications software primarily UNIX is essential. As is experience with Unix, PC & Apple Mac configuration, databases & mass storage devices. Familiarity with MS server and system configuration, administration and scripting is highly desirable. Hands on training, both on the job and formally is provided when necessary. The Customer Care Engineer must possess the capacity to work in a high pressurised, disciplined environment. A driver licence is also required as some travel may be necessary.
